Oscar Salazar, Jr.
I am a 20 year resident of Pct. 2. I am a United States Marine. I served honorably and proudly. I own Mornings Kolaches. As a small business owner of 35 years, I can say that I have a tremendous work ethic, which will come with me as your judge, ensuring you always have access to every service to which you are entitled.
As a business owner, I am very qualified to deal with the public in every aspect. I also resolve many varied employee issues with fairness and impartiality on a daily basis. I am careful in making crucial decisions, weighing all evidence before me. I treat my employees with utmost respect.
Likewise, I will treat everyone before my bench with dignity and compassion. My decisions will be rendered competently.
Evictions are very critical. I will inform landlords and tenants of available rental assistance and make legal aid services accessible in my very courthouse. I will listen to eviction cases with empathy and in rendering a decision, I will know my job, do my job and only my job. I will always be fair, above all.
Many parties in Justice Court appear without an attorney. This can be very intimidating and daunting. I am bilingual and this will help with Spanish speaking people before my bench. I will ensure that the proper translator is available to anyone who needs one. My goal is equal and fair justice to everyone before my bench. Impartiality is of utmost importance. No one will ever be discriminated against, and that is my solemn vow.
